Visited on October 23 and tried a bit of everything.
There are 3 chargers in front of the building, an AC, a Kostad 120kW and an ABB 50kW. There are no parking spaces painted, and no signage at all.
Since AVIA Volt appear to have offices here, it's probably more of a test location.
The ABB C50 was the easiest to "test". The live data shows constantly occupied, but it's in fact out of service. I guess they can be proud to have not only the first C50 of Switzerland, but also the first broken C50 of Switzerland 💩 The live data showed the charger only seemed to have been working in the afternoon of Monday 20th. I wonder if that's when they took the press picture we see on LinkedIn where the charger is clearly working.
The Kostad charger has a contactless reader and it seems to be activated, but it says the price is 0.50RON/kWh with a 5.00RON reservation. If it worked, it would actually be pretty cheap at around 9ct/kWh if my currency conversion is correct. I tried to pay with Google Pay, but the terminal errors with "Currency not supported" message, not sure if this means my card doesn't support it, or if they used an invalid currency in the terminal configuration itself? I activated with AVIA Volt RFID and it worked.
The AC charger also has a credit card reader, if you choose the credit card option on the touch screen, it says to scan your card but never tells you the price or reservation amount. After scanning my card the error "Die Zahlung wurde abgelehnt oder die Verbindung mit dem Zahlungssystem ist fehlgeschlagen" appears. I then started a charge with RFID, but after a minute the charge stopped with message "Durch Ladestation pausiert". It happened while I was browsing the other payment and support options on the screen, but I'm pretty sure I didn't press the stop button.
I then had trouble trying to re-start the charge. Pressing stop wouldn't do anything more. Scanning the RFID again activated the other side. I then understood I had to fully unplug and re-plug to be able to re-start on the same side. I then re-started with the app and this time there was no failure.
The AC charger has a language choice button, but the menu only has 1 option: German. But I doubt this is the default language of this device, because half the buttons have text overflowing and going over other UI elements, a really poor UX.
The AC charger also has an option where you can pay for a different charger. This is presumably a test feature, because I couldn't find what numbers must be typed to pay for the Kostad or ABB chargers. It probably wouldn't have lead anywhere anyway since the contactless reader didn't even work for itself.
