This location seems to have been active for a long time, but I wasn't aware of it and just added it now to the map.
The charger doesn't appear to be networked. On Chargemap we see 2 different configurations. The original coffee&charge with all 3 connectors and an EVite logo, and a more recent cappuccino/charge with 2xCCS without any sticker.
A Chargemap comment from November 2023 says the contactless price on the new charger was 0.57CHF/kWh 3.60CHF/h, but it's not clear if the hourly price was billed by the charging station or is the price at the parking meter. The pictures seem to confirm there is the EVTEC built-in contactless reader, as indicated by the blue light above the screen.
I found an article on Nau.ch that talks about the charger upgrade https://www.nau.ch/ort/st-margrethen/berneck-setzt-auf-modernisierte-elektrotankstelle-66532471 Presumably this article was written after a press release as they have some very specific numbers including the price of the new charger, yet they don't have an actual picture. I am not able to find any official press release.
The article mentions payment can be done via credit card or apple pay, matching with the Chargemap comment.
There is also this article from January 2015 talking about the opening of the original station. Unfortunately the article referenced as source no longer exists https://www.schnellladen.ch/de/neue-3in1-schnellladestation-in-berneck-sg-er%C3%B6ffnet
Both articles mention the original station was opened in 2014.
It's not clear when the new station was put in service. The Nau article seems to have been written when the new station was received but not yet put into service. So that must be sometime between July and November with the Chargemap comment as the upper limit.
