It seems like this plot of land will host an IONITY station.

This is fresh info, it's not listed on EV-Info yet. I guess that's because it's not announced yet on https://ionity.eu/en/network/network-status either.

What we know is that IONITY has deposited a permit to install a high voltage connection and transformer. The evaluation period has ended, I don't know whether they were any oppositions.

The gabarits for the transformer were still in place when I visited yesterday. The coordinates match with the permit request.

I wonder how the access will be done. Will it be done through Migrol or will they open a new entrance right before the roundabout?

No idea how many stalls they might be planning. The area is not big, but you can already put a good number of stalls.

The M-CHARGE station will look quite small next to IONITY.

Visited on Thursday.

I think they have dug the cable under the road as there are cables sticking out on the Lindenstrasse side. On the Untere Bönigstrasse I think this connects directly to the existing Trafostation because I didn't notice any sign of recent construction.

They have laid the foundation for the IONITY Trafostation.

There are 4 concrete bases already delivered. I don't recognize if those are for the Hyperchargers, ABB stalls or ABB power modules. I assume there will be more, unless it's all Hyperchargers. Even if they don't equip all the spots they usually put the foundations for at least 6-8 chargers.

Visited on Sunday, February 9 to check on construction progress.

There are 4 foundations installed, but I have no idea which ones could be for ABB or Alpitronic chargers. It seems like there could be enough space for all-Alpitronic, but I would be surprised if there were no 350kW chargers, as this has not been done yet in Switzerland.

For now it seems like the way to access the plot is through Migrol, to the right of their charger. No sign of another entrance at the moment.

There's a new request for this location. It seems to be for the same thing as last year(?)

The coordinates for the other end of the electric line has changed. Instead of going under Jumbo it now goes under the freeway. Did they change their mind on which substation they want to connect it? What's strange is that they probably already dig the trench, so is it just to allow activating the link?

Visited on March 5, when the station was not yet in service. Everything appeared to be installed. There was no EV logo yet or any sign saying when it would open. All Alpitronic, a first for Switzerland!

I also took a picture on the other side of the freeway, there were gabarits at the location indicated in the new construction permit.

Pictures from yesterday. The station is open, contactless seems to be working.

I didn't notice during my last visit that they would have a separate entry and exit. You enter through Migrol then around the back, and the path closer to the main road is the exit.

Migrol seems to also be installing their second charger.

Visited on May 15 and did a short charge with Swisscharge RFID. No issue.

The contactless readers seem to be working.

The entrance path is very narrow. I wonder if they have planned to remove the advertising sign which is in the way. If a large car is charging at Migrol, it might be impossible to squeeze by, then you need to enter the wrong way through the exit.

Visited on June 22, didn't charge at IONITY.

This time I took a picture of the IONITY entrance squeezed between Migrol. If a large car is using the entire Migrol spot, it's quite possible to block the IONITY entrance completely.

Based on the location where the arrow has been painted on the ground, I imagine they expect the advertisement sign to be gone at some point.
