Visited tonight without charging.
This is a strange setup. This is the first non-300kW Shell charger at a Shell gas station. This one is not branded as Evpass. It even has the same price as the 300kW chargers, 79ct/kWh app, 89ct/kWh contactless.
I think this might be the first HYC_50 in Switzerland to be equipped with a contactless reader. Energie360 has contactless readers on their units in Solothurn as well but they are not yet enabled.
There are 2 problems with the screen. First they re-used the slides from the HYC_300 which are meant for a horizontal screen, so they end up cut on both sides on the vertical screen. And there's also a glitch that makes the remaining text very difficult to read. This glitch is not just on the slides, but also on the controls.
This offering is completely nonsensical, with Energie360 and M-CHARGE both offering the same hardware and power, at a lower price and with more units per location, barely a minute of driving away. I wonder if they are planning to put a 300kW charger here but had to settle for something else while they wait for the power distribution.
There is also something odd with the charger ID. Both plugs share a single ID, so in roaming apps you only see one connector. I'll need to try what happens when you try to start a charge from a roaming app while somebody is already charging. In the Shell Recharge app it asks you to select between 2 CCS connectors, and both have the same name but can be selected independently. I don't know if they are in the correct order left-right though.
