Today we opened Zurich's fastest charging station with 400kW max. power in Bucheggplatz - a very central and urban location in the city with over 100'000 cars passing by every day.
We are thrilled to finally be able to provide the Electra charging experience to customers in the Swiss German part. This station fully aligns with our urban strategy of making charging easily accessible to EV drivers across Switzerland.
The station is visible in Swisscharge app. It wasn't visible yet in MOVE app yesterday but it's visible now.
I visited yesterday without charging. The charger is accessible directly off the main road, there is no gate. Parking is free [while charging obviously]
Because of the tram line and the yellow continuous line, I don't think you are allowed to turn left off the main road. I'm not sure how far you need to drive to come back around. Same problem when leaving, you cannot head north. I think it's easy enough to use the Bucheggplatz as a giant roundabout to turn around, but you need to re-enter the main road into the second lane because the first lane immediately heads west.
Contactless seems to be working, it's offered on the screen.
They have the new version 2 software from Alpitronic.
