It was one of the very first GOFAST locations to have contactless support, which had not been announced publicly at that point and I was intrigued by the new stickers on the screen.

Since my previous check-in in 2020, the plugs had been changed to now include 2 CCS. This is one of very few locations in the Swisscharge network where an existing plug identifier started referring to a different plug. They didn't reset the plug IDs of the charger, but just re-assigned them to the new plugs since there was still the same total number of plugs.

This location is no longer listed on GOFAST website.

The DC plugs have been stuck in "charging" state since April 30 ~17h on Swisscharge.

I can't find any communication by GOFAST. They have also completely removed the Sonnenberg West location from the map, which was previously shown as a temporary closure. So if they stop showing temporary closures we can't know if this location is also one or not.

There are now 2x 300kW CCS connectors visible in GreenFlux API here. But in "unknown" status for now. So I'm assuming they are replacing the old charger with a new one.

The location is back on GOFAST website. Only CCS 150kW is listed, but the picture seems to be an older one because there's still the CHAdeMO and the screen-built contactless reader which I assume is not used anymore now that the chargers are on GreenFlux.

On Swisscharge and ChargeAssist apps the new connectors I had previously seen listed at 300kW are now listed at 160kW.

Visited on Friday and did a short charge.

The new charger is a ristretto&charge with a manufacturing date of 2022, so it could be upgraded up to 380kW, but the stickers on the charger say 150kW, so I guess it's still limited.

The screen seems to be broken, it just shows vertical lines. RFID didn't work. I started a charge using the Swisscharge app and it worked. I'm not sure whether the contactless reader would have worked, it's on and shows 59ct/kWh price.

I don't think I had noticed before, but the concrete block on which the trash bin is fixed seems to be foundation for a second charger.

Visited on May 19 to see the new setup.

Based on the live data, the timeline seems to have been as follows:

In the evening of 2024-12-15, the site was brought offline. At the end of the day on 2024-12-16, the second charger was put into service. In the morning of 2024-12-18, the existing EVTEC was finished swapping with an Alpitronic and put into service.

The new charger uses the existing concrete foundation that was there from the start.

This upgrade must have coincided with a grid upgrade, because otherwise they could already have put a 300kW charger the last time they swapped the EVTEC with another EVTEC.

There is still the same ban sign, and still no clear lines, so there's a risk there might not be enough space for 4 cars if anyone parks badly. There's no mention 4 spaces should be left available, restaurant customers might have no idea how much space they are supposed to leave.
