Visited on Sunday without charging.
The sign at the entrance says parking is max 12h only for visitor of the Sportanlagen "Stampfi", but the EW Rothrist website says clearly that this station is public.
There's an EV sign above the charger that can be spotted from the main road, it's useful so you know approximately where the charger is before entering the parking row, as you will have difficulty seeing it if all parking spots are occupied. But the sign could be confusing if you drive towards it on the main road instead of entering the parking, as the parking is one-way only you will have to turn around to enter the parking the correct way.
For some reason, they painted 2 parking spots but you can only charge 1 car. Was this to save cost on an eventual upgrade, or did the people in charge have no idea how the model of charger they bought works? I guess you might as well park in the middle of the 2 spots since nobody can charge at the same time anyway 🤷♂️
There is no ad-hoc payment possible.
