Visited today without charging.
There were new 60kW chargers visible on Swisscharge and opendata and the old 50kW charger was showing out of service.
I saw 2 new chargers, one is in the place of the old 50kW, and the other one has been added at the end of the row of AC chargers.
The chargers are EVTEC cappuccino&charge, like the previous one, but with 2xCCS and 1xAC, no CHAdeMO anymore. The chargers have the same branding as the old one, also showing "max 50kW" next to each CCS plug despite showing 60kW on Swisscharge. The hardware is officially capable of 60kW, I suppose there's a grid limitation.
The 2 chargers aren't actually the same variant. The one replacing the "50kW" is a 60kW variant, only capable of 500V and 160A. The one in the new location at the end of the row is a 100kW variant, capable of 920V and 300A. If they invested in that higher power version I hope they plan to upgrade the available power. There are actually very few of the 100kW variant of this charger used for public stations.
The charger at the original "50kW" location has the stickers for contactless payment. I'm pretty sure the second charger also has the contactless reader because there is a blue light behind the RFID logo. I didn't try to plug in to check.
The connector EVSEIDs are not displayed on the chargers. I assume CH*SWIEE24202...
is the charger in the original 50kW corner and CH*SWIEE24625...
is the new charger location as the live data matched with the number of cars currently plugged into each unit.
Just like with the original corner, the new charger has 3 parking spots painted, 2 blue and one green. The green is supposed to be for AC and blue for DC, but I don't know how well this is respected. I think they shouldn't have included AC on the DC unit and just added more dedicated AC units if needed. The green spot in the middle is very unpractical and there's a risk of not being able to access the DC if someone uses the AC and parks badly.
On Swisscharge, the location image still shows the original EVTEC espresso&charge that was there at the very beginning, but this was replaced a very long time ago.
The signage is pretty mixed here. Just like during my last visit, there are signs at the top and bottom of entrances of the West parking showing the EV sign and "P5" and pointing towards the ramp. But when you reach P5, there are no signs anymore, not even on how to enter P5, because if you take the wrong lane you don't actually stay on P5 but go one level higher. When going up, you need to stay on the inner right lane at the top of the ramp, do a 180° turn on the floor, then drive around the edge of the floor towards the foot passage and the chargers are among the parking spots closer to the door.
