Visited on Sunday without charging.

I had planned to visit this location because I had noticed the old plug IDs for the 50kW charger were no longer valid, but I had not noticed that there were new chargers listed for this location. It must have been activated very recently, or at least recently added to Swisscharge which is where I usually check for roaming chargers.

The old 50kW charger is gone, but in its place there's a fancy new 4-user and 360kW station, branded as AVIA VOLT. The hardware is from Kostad, for which AVIA mentions on their website having exclusive distribution rights. The sticker on the charger shows their headquarters in Austria, so not sure if AVIA has exclusive rights for Switzerland or everywhere. I have never seen this hardware before.

I'm not sure what the power distribution looks like. Based on the sticker, it looks like it's 360kW per unit, balanced between the 2 plugs. The unit on the right actually has a 22kW AC output listed on the sticker and a slightly higher rated grid input because of it, but I didn't see any AC connector. The sticker and spec sheet from their website doesn't mention any power sharing between the 2 units.

There's a massive device in the background, which I assume are batteries since the chargers have the power modules inside of them. Unfortunately I didn't find any sticker. I don't see that device on Kostad website, so it's likely not power modules and must be another brand.

They left a of of space between the chargers. I wonder how they will paint the final parking spots. If they leave it all for charging it's very nice.

Alles neu im Mai! Okay, nicht ganz. Aber in Chur gibt es eine neue Ladestation. Sie befindet sich an der Rossbodenstrasse und wartet auf die ersten Fahrerinnen und Fahrer, die ihr Elektroauto mit Strom laden möchten.

On the picture, we see the parking spots have been painted blue. They used the whole space, so they are quite big!

Seems like they chose their picture angles carefully so we cannot see the AMAG chargers in the background 🤣

I don't know what's going on at AVIA. I noticed yesterday that they changed some of their prices. Both the ad-hoc payment page and the AVIA Volt app show plugs 1 & 3 are now 65ct/kWh, but plugs 2 & 4 are still 80ct/kWh. The same bizarre behavior is visible at other locations.

I don't remember if the chargers were already numbered 1 through 4 last time I checked.

When I visited back in April, unit 2 was on the left and unit 1 was on the right, with connectors EVSEIDs *1 on left and *2 on right of each unit. So unless they re-assigned the EVSEIDs, this would mean the new official plug numbers list left to right 3, 4, 1, 2 🤔

Visited on May 21 and charged with AVIA Volt app.

The parking spaces were painted, probably not long after my original visit, because I already saw many pictures with the blue paint online.

The holder for the leftmost connector (that I use in the pictures) doesn't apply any friction anymore. The connector stays inside for a few seconds, then falls to the floor.

Leaving the station during rush hour is a challenge. It might be possible to wait for someone to let you turn left, but I chose the less complicated and slightly more time consuming option to turn right and come back at the next roundabout to join the line of cars going to the freeway.
