Visited yesterday without charging.

The charger is next to the AVIA gas station, it's easy to access and the parking spaces are wide.

One of the parking spots has fresher paint than the other. If I compare with older pictures from Chargemap it's clear there has been some roadwork on the side of the main road. The separated bus stop area that exists now was not present in the Chargemap pictures.

The data on the spec sticker might no longer be up to date, but it shows it's a 120kW espresso&charge up to 500V, with the CCS cable limited to 200A and the CHAdeMO to 125A, this is not a common sight, as there aren't many of those older evtec chargers around. If this is still the original CCS cable, it means the 100kW CCS limit listed in MOVE data isn't really reachable, as it would require an exact 500V battery pack. 400V at 200A is only 80kW.

PS: Diese Ladestation ist erst der Anfang. In der Zukunft sollen weitere folgen – damit erneuerbarer Strom im urbanen Raum selbstverständlich wird.

On the picture we see an EVTEC espresso&charge at the same place as the old AVIA+CKW charger, I presume it's still the same charger as before with some upgrades.

When I visited this location while it was still networked through MOVE, it had 1 CHAdeMO and 1 CCS. The picture shows 2 CCS and no CHAdeMO. Online, the charger is now listed as having 1 CHAdeMO and 2 CCS. The second CCS appeared on their online map on April 26. The CHAdeMO seems to have been stuck in "charging" state ever since, so I guess it doesn't exist anymore.

All connectors are now listed at 65ct/kWh ad-hoc (2xCCS) and in AVIA Volt app (2xCCS+CHAdeMO).

CHAdeMO is still listed as permanently charging in the AVIA Volt app, but doesn't appear on the ad-hoc payment page. I still haven't visited to confirm if the connector is physically gone.

Visited on Thursday night and charged using the AVIA Volt app.

The hardware is indeed still the same 120kWdc espresso&charge with the CHAdeMO now swapped with a CCS.

The branding was updated with AVIA Volt logo. There is no longer the CKW logo.

There are no QR code stickers. The QR code appears on the screen after plugging in like at GOFAST and AGROLA. I used the left connector, and the QR code that appeared was the one for the old CHAdeMO. I didn't try to initiate the charge that way, I suspect that would have not worked.

I wanted to try charging with the app and it worked. But the screen shows the QR code along with just the text "2", and in the app when you select CCS you have the choice between "Kriens 1" with EVSEID *1 or "Kriens-3" with EVSEID *4. I selected 3/4 and it worked.

It's really a bad setup to have the pole for the gas station price display in the corner of one of the parking spots for the charger... You need to be careful to not hit it. It's also not very practical to leave the station from the left spot if you backed in, because you need to make a very sharp right turn if you exit towards Lucern.

Visited on May 15.

I tried to charge using the AVIA Volt app, but it failed with error "Command request rejected by the charge point". I then used Swisscharge RFID and got the charge to work.

There is still no way to identify which connector is which. In AVIA Volt and other roaming apps, you see the connectors numbered 1 and 4. 4 is actually on the left, and 1 is on the right.

When you select "QR code" for payment on the screen after plugging in, there is a number underneath the connector. For the left connector it says "2", for the right connector it says "1". I believe this was never updated from the time the EVSEIDs used to contain the numbers 1 and 2 instead of the mysterious 4.
