Visited this evening and successfully charged on CCS with the Shell Recharge app.
My prediction was correct, it's still the exact same charger as before.
In fact, absolutely nothing was touched. They switched the backend but all the evpass signage and payment instructions are still there, and obviously no longer work. You have to magically guess that the charger is now in the Shell Recharge app.
I hope they plan to update the signage... The current situation will only leave customers frustrated when they can't get the charger to work with the posted information.
I need to update the code on my website because I hard-coded that all Shell Recharge stations have a credit card reader but there is none at this location. Maybe they will add one back in (there used to be one before evpass got rid of all of them). Maybe they temporarily integrated the old ABB charger into Shell's network but plan to replace it with an Hypercharger or another modern charger.
