Je suis passé jeudi passé. La station est installée mais on ne peut pas encore démarrer de recharges. Un excellent ajout pour la région!

I took pictures of the "ladestau" here in December 2022. I had published the pictures on social media but not here, so there they are, along with the wide shot from the roof of the shopping center.

I didn't get to see how the ID Buzz team sorted things out, as they Blocked the Skoda driver in. Though it was a good way to show they were waiting by parking there instead of to the side where someone could jump the line.

Despite the tethered AC connector being free, I was not able to charge my Zoe because of the way the vehicles were parked. I had to come back later.

Speaking of the 43kW AC connector, it seems to have been removed last week. I can definitely say goodbye to practical road trips with my first gen Zoe now.

Visited yesterday without charging.

I had never taken any picture at night here. There is a light pole installed just for the charger, but a second one would have been nice, as the front of the charger is in shadow.

The orange glow on the charger is the reflection of the traffic lights that blinks at night.

No more CHAdeMO here since 2025-01-17 according to the live data.

The CHAdeMO/CCS pair appeared out of service in the live data between 2024-12-20 and 2024-12-30, reason unknown.

Visited last Sunday.

There is indeed no more CHAdeMO.

I notice the screens now say "plug in" by default since there is no longer any choice of connector on either side, each screen controls just 1 CCS.

There are now vending machines next to the charger. They don't show the prices until you select a product. I didn't have time to test everything, I checked the ice tea was 3.90CHF. Definitely not worth it when Migros is open, you can get the same thing for half or third of the price by walking a few minutes.

The vending machines have changed. There's only one now, and it's not the same as before.

Visited on June 26 and had some issues.

I first tried using the left connector as the one on the right was already in use. I tried 2 times with my MOVE RFID, it seems to authenticate fine, but the charge failed with error "Fahrzeug trennen - Leistungsstufe res. - PU OCCUPIED (0000000010)" on both attempts.

When the Tesla left I moved to the other side and was able to charge.

I suppose the error could have something to do with power modules being unavailable due to overheating. But when charging on the other side I was getting the expected 64kW, so this means there was definitely more than one power module working and the charger should have been able to share.

The vending machine was out of service. Must be the first time I find a charger contactless reader working, but the vending machine reader not working. Usually it's the other way around.

There are construction profiles for something that would encompass the entire area where the GOFAST charger is. I searched though the construction permits for Canton Bern but cannot find anything matching this location. No idea if that's GOFAST expanding, or GOFAST getting kicked out.

I see that Biella is no longer listed here at all on Google Maps, and already on my previous pictures there was almost no Biella branding left. The last sign I know would be behind the shipping container and is therefore not visible on my last pictures. The new owner might be planning something different for the building. There are also profiles on the roof for the same shape, just higher, so they are probably not taking the existing building down, just adding to it.

Visited on July 20. The renovation work had started on the main building. For now the construction profiles were still up around the area where the charger is, and nothing was modified.

This time I charged on the left connector without any issue, got the expected 64kW for my SoC.

The vending machine is still out of service.

I also noticed that the old Biella visitor/employee AC chargers are gone. Probably already for a little while. Those were never networked. A bit surprised they went the effort of removing them, the new tenants would probably appreciate them as well. Perhaps that's a sign they are going to redo the entire parking area.

The station was migrated back to Swisscharge in the afternoon of July 22nd. There might have been up to 2h downtime during the operation, but that seems to have gone much better than whatever happened with the Schwyz stations.
