I had gotten a heard-up from James on X about the construction nearing completion https://x.com/jaames06/status/2071712496281370671
I had then written down 8 planned charging spaces, but I don't remember where I saw that. It must have been the temporary value on https://ionity.ev-info.eu/location/granges-paccot-fribourg
I visited on July 23 to see the progress, and discovered it was actually fully operational!
I couldn't see it in the Electra app yet, but I think it might have been because I still had some filters activated. I was able to charge with Electra RFID, and that evening when I checked again with the proper filters I was able to see it. It was visible in the IONITY app while I was on location.
I'm not sure since when exactly it's open, but I assume it was that day, because all my data sources updated that evening with the station, and generally it happens at the end of the same day. That's also the opening date listed on EV-Info, though I don't know where the get their information from.
The setup is 5x Alpitronic HYC_400 and 2x ABB, for a total of 10x 400kW and 2x 350kW.
The layout is like this:
02 \/ 01
80 \/ 71
79 \/ 72
78 \/ 73
77 \/ 74
76 \/
75 \/>>>>
75 is designated as handicap spot. Though it doesn't appear much wider, and while there's space to open the driver's door very wide (when parking forward), there's not that much space to walk (or roll) around the vehicle because the power modules for the ABB chargers are in the way.
All contactless readers appeared to be operational, both Alpitronic and ABB, but I didn't try them.
The location is using the cheaper of the 2 Swiss prices. Ad-hoc is 0.80CHF/kWh, app is 0.76CHF/kWh.
There are no parking instructions, seems to be free. Also, no suggestions for amenities, so I guess they don't have any special deal with any of the stores. There are toilets at McDonald's, and I suppose there might also be some at Conforama and Coop Pronto, but if there is no special arrangements they will expect you to buy something from them if you visit. If you want to reach Coop Pronto the proper way, it involves a little detour as the crosswalk is further down the road.
