Visited yesterday and charged with credit card without issue.
I became aware of this station because it appeared on IchTankeStrom on 2026-04-09. Originally only the first connector. The second connector has appeared on IchTankeStrom today.
This is an EVTEC cappucino&charge capable of 100kW and that's what is listed on IchTankeStrom as well. It doesn't appear to be networked. Payment can be done through the contactless terminal, 0.59CHF/kWh.
I cannot pinpoint when this location opened based on information online. The charger has a build date in 2023. I searched the town website and their monthly newsletters, but found no mention of the charger. The April letter has not been published yet, so perhaps it's brand new.
The charger is not visible in the satellite pictures from either Google or Swisstopo, making me thing it must be reasonably recent. Google Street view is from 2014 here so it's not going to help, obviously the charger is not there yet.
The charger is not listed on Chargemap or &Charge.
There is this article on the ADEV website from November 2024 https://www.adev.ch/de/pilotprojekt-e-ladestation-lanciert talking about this project, but it's before the charger is actually installed, so no idea when that took place.
I have to laugh at the quote in the article:
«Ein entscheidendes Kriterium war, wie einfach die Ladestation in die hierzulande gängigen Lade-Apps zu integrieren ist, damit diese für E-Fahrzeugbesitzende einfach zu finden ist», erläutert Roland Klepel.
Either the charger was really just opened this month, or this choice criteria to be visible in charging apps failed spectacularly.
Since the project is handled by a private company, this could explain why there aren't more details in the town newsletter.
The news article also mentions a possibility to offer a special price to residents. I found no sign of this being advertised anywhere nowadays.
